GLORIA TREVI
Often hailed as "the Mexican Madonna," Gloria Trevi is not only one of the most daring and cutting-edge Latin stars of all time -- she's also one of the most important, due to her sometimes sociopolitical music, which can be quite challenging and provocative. Gloria Trevi is a Mexican singer, songwriter, and occasional actress. She began her career with the solo album ‘¿Qué Hago Aquí?’. It was a commercial success, selling more than two million copies, and peaked at the number one position across Latin America as well. Her next album ‘Tu Ángel de la Guarda’ was also a success with the popular hit ‘Pelo Suelto’. Though the album kindled some controversy, it was commercially profitable, selling around a million and a half copies.
